  1. When and where will Skift Global Forum 2021 take place?

SGF will be a hybrid event this year on Sept. 22-23, 2021. The physical event will take place at the iconic TWA Hotel at JFK, New York City. The online event will take place on SpotMe, our online platform. If you miss anything either live or in person you can watch sessions later on demand.

  1. What are the safety protocols Skift is taking to ensure we keep the attendees and staff safe? 

Your health and safety remain our top priority. All attendees, staff, and vendors will be required to be fully vaccinated to attend our event. You will be required to provide your vaccination card along with a valid ID upon checking in at the venue. You must have received your final dose of vaccine by Sept. 6 to be considered fully vaccinated before our event. Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the venue. A COVID compliance officer will also be onsite to ensure we practice safe social distancing and we will continue to work closely with the venue and comply with all CDC guidelines. 

  1. How many people will be allowed to attend the in-person event? 

In accordance with current rules for New York State, attendance is capped at 150 in-person attendees. 

  1. Will all speakers be in-person in New York? 

Speakers will be a mix of live, in-person sessions and live, online sessions from locations around the world.  

  1. What’s the cost to attend the in-person event versus online? 

The in-person tickets are $2,495 and online tickets begin at $345. 

  1. What does my in-person ticket include? 
  • Entry to the event at the TWA Hotel.
  • On-site refreshments during sessions.
  • Option to attend break-out sessions.
  • In-person networking breaks.
  • Access to the event app for iOS and Android
  • Networking with both online and in-person event attendees using the event app
  • Access to on-demand session recordings for one year after the event.
  • Special Skift-discounted rate to book hotel rooms at TWA Hotel.
  1. What does my online ticket include? 
  • Live access to all sessions via our online platform.
  • Access to the event app for iOS and Android.
  • Networking with both online and in-person event attendees using the event app.
  • Access to on-demand session recordings for one year after the event.
  1. What is the check in process at the in-person event? 

We will split attendees into time blocks for in-person check in and temperature checks. In order to facilitate touch-free check, in we will scan a QR code in the event app.

  1. Do I need to wear a mask during the in-person event? 

Yes, as recommended by the CDC, we require everyone to wear a mask throughout the event, even if vaccinated.

  1. I am sick and can no longer attend the physical event, will I receive a refund or credit for my ticket? 

Tickets to Skift events are non-refundable. They can be transferred to another person or applied to a future event.

  1. What happens if a change in government rules prevents me from traveling to or within the United States, or forces Skift to cancel the in-person event? 

We will continue to follow any government regulations and if conditions do not allow us to proceed with our event, we will be in communication with all registered attendees on next steps. For all questions, please contact us at

  1. I got vaccinated over 6 months ago, will I require a booster shot? 

CDC has not yet released a requirement of a booster shot but we will follow all recommended guidelines and continue to communicate with all registered attendees.
