With over 25 years of financial experience, Adam has a strong background in international business gained in the aviation, banking, retail and FMCG sectors across the UK, India and Middle East.

Adam joined Riyadh Air in January 2023 as Chief Financial Officer, after nine years at Etihad Airways. Over the course of his career at Etihad, Adam progressed from Group Treasurer to Chief Financial Officer, leading a sizeable global team in areas including treasury and taxation, investor relations, fleet planning & purchasing, risk management and procurement.

Prior to joining Etihad, Adam was SVP & Head of Global Market Operations at First Abu Dhabi Bank, where he managed and developed a high-performing team across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. This followed four years as Head of Treasury Operations and Development at Tesco, where Adam held global responsibility for wide liquidity and cash management, financial risk management, bank relationships and offshoring treasury support functions.

Earlier in his career, Adam gained experience of a variety of industries through financial roles at multinational manufacturing corporation Kimberly-Clark, financial services company Marex Spectron, and major retail and commercial bank RBS. Adam has also held board positions with Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, Air Serbia, the British School Al Khubairat, and the Association of Corporate Treasurers. Adam’s areas of expertise include financing and funding, corporate governance, organizational transformation, policy setting, management reporting and financial systems.

As Chief Financial Officer, Adam oversees all of Riyadh Air’s financial activities and gives strategic counsel to the CEO, Board and C-suite peers on corporate strategy, procurement, fleet planning, finance and treasury, investments, and enterprise analytics.

He is a qualified treasurer and management accountant and holds an Executive MBA from the University of Hertfordshire in the UK. In 2017, Adam was named Treasury Professional of the Year, the highest individual accolade awarded by the Association of Corporate Treasurers Middle East.
