Alex has spent over 30 years in the travel industry. His career started in the 90s with American Airlines in Dallas. In 2006, he founded the airline Clickair in Barcelona, later merging it with Vueling and growing it to over 100 aircraft and 150 airports when it was bought by IAG. His last leadership position was as Chairman and CEO of British Airways. Currently he serves as senior advisor for InvestIndustrial and McKinsey&Co, and as board member at Recaro, Westjet, PortAventura World and several tech companies.
