The New Consumer

Dan Frommer is the founder and editor in chief of The New Consumer (newconsumer.com), a publication about how and why people spend their time and money.

Launched in 2019, The New Consumer focuses on the most interesting and innovative companies, people, products, and trends, highlighting what’s working (and what isn’t!), why things are changing, and where things are going next.

He also publishes Points Party (pointsparty.com), a free newsletter about travel points, credit card rewards, and loyalty programs.
Frommer has spent the past 15 years as a journalist covering technology and its effects on business and society. He was most recently the editor in chief of Recode, the technology publication from Vox Media. Previously, he was the technology editor at Quartz. In 2007, he helped start Silicon Alley Insider, the publication that became Business Insider.
