In 2020, Decius was appointed President of the Travel unit in Amadeus, responsible for a new transversal and platform-led customer-unit bringing together its Airline, Travel Channels and Airports businesses.
Decius previously lead the distribution unit, as President of Travel Channels, since June 2017, when he also joined the Amadeus Executive Committee.
He started in Amadeus as Operations Director for the Brazilian ACO in January 2004. In 2006, he relocated to Nice to become the Head of LATAM Marketing team.
In 2009, he moved back to Brazil and had a brief term as the GM of the South LATAM ACO and shortly after he was appointed as Director for the LATAM region. During his term, he helped Amadeus grow its business both on its IT and Distribution business lines.
In 2013, Decius was appointed Vice President of Distribution Marketing. He was responsible for the strategic planning and marketing strategy for all customer segments of our Distribution business, including airlines, travel agencies and other service providers.
In 2017, after some months as Vice President of Travel Channels EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), he was appointed President of Travel Channels. During the last three years, Decius implemented a more customer focused organization, with a large focus on deploying the Amadeus Travel Platform and various solutions to help travel sellers be where travelers are buying.
In 2020, Decius became President of the Travel unit, leading the Airlines, Travel Channels and Airports businesses.
Before joining Amadeus, he held several positions for 10 years in the telecom industry in companies such as AT&T and Ernst & Young.
Decius earned an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from PUC in Rio de Janeiro (1995). He received an MBA in General Management from Insper Institute in Sao Paulo, Brazil (2004) and is a graduate of the General Management Program at Harvard Business School (2010).
Decius is based in Madrid. A Brazilian citizen, he speaks Portuguese, English, Spanish, and French.
