Madeleine Monaghan Golda

Director of Global Training

Stova

As a native of Ireland, Madeleine grew up in a public house, living with a boisterous family and a mother who was a lecturer. The pub was the sitting room, and the home was surrounded by farm land housing horses, dogs and chickens. Madeleine emigrated to the USA and started teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) as well as computer science classes in the adult learning classes of the local high school. She managed the adult learning evening classes for all areas of technology for several years as she worked during the daytime as a full time Mum to her three rumbunctious kids.

Madeleine enjoyed several years working at Reed Exhibition Companies, as their director of the information systems and then worked at a local Connecticut savings bank in similar role, before diving into the area of working in higher education.

She was the department chair at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield CT for the ESL department. Madeleine has traveled extensively internationally to guest lecture at professional development events and has enjoyed speaking at conferences and webinars in her favorite research area, which is teacher training for the adult learner in the field of technology. She has worked with dozens of private high schools across the USA to implement a successful internationalization of their curriculum to encourage cultural inclusion and reduction in cultural bias, and implement an curriculum evaluation system that tracks cultural learning.

Madeleine enjoyed dissertation areas of differentiation of curriculum when building a technology solution for the adult learner.

Madeleine currently works at Stova, an event management systems software platform, as the Director of Global Training. She works with clients from all segments to implement their meetings and events strategy through effective training and onboarding. She manages the internal and external learning management system (LMS), and works with the Stova employees for sales enablement training. Her current role at Stova is most definitely a beautiful combination of solutioning tricky information systems design and respecting the humanity of managing events. This area combines her life experience, technology skill set and academic research. Managing meetings and events is a complex area of humanity that require SaaS platforms to allow for flexible and effective deployment and reporting of event management.

Madeleine’s favorite activity in life is singing (much to the annoyance of her kids) and enjoys a jazz duet in local venues and events.
