With a nearly two-decade career in media, creative strategy, brand, and communications spanning four markets – the U.S., India, the Middle East and Europe – Rhea Saran is Global Head of Brand & Content at Travelzoo, based out of London. Most recently, she headed content strategy at Diriyah Gate Development Authority, a multi-billion-dollar tourism giga-project under development in Saudi Arabia. From 2013 to 2020, she was Founding Editor-in-Chief of Condé Nast Traveller Middle East, based in Dubai, having led the launch and subsequent growth of the brand in a new market. Prior to that, she held various senior positions over six years at GQ’s Indian edition in Mumbai, and worked in New York City, with stints at the American edition of Conde Nast Traveler and Working Mother Media, among others. Ms. Saran is an author of fiction; her first novel was published in 2010 by Random House. She received her MA in Journalism from New York University and her bachelor’s degree from Brown University.
