Leisure travel is booming as consumers continue to prioritize spending pandemic-related “excess” savings on travel. With the flexibility of hybrid work here to stay, a new normal is emerging in which leisure travelers increasingly seek enhanced amenities, stay for longer, upgrade their experiences, and take multi-generational trips.
One place travelers are turning is timeshares, which grew 5 percent during the pandemic as a share of accommodation type according to Skift Research. Now offered as a membership with exclusive perks beyond just a resort stay, timeshares are increasingly appealing to a new, younger demographic eager to travel and for unique experiences.
Although the shared vacation ownership model has transformed over the past 10 years, misconceptions remain. Who are today’s owners and how are they actually using their timeshares? How has the customer experience evolved and what keeps this extremely loyal group coming back?
In this webinar, Skift is sitting down with Hilton Grand Vacations and Travel + Leisure Co to unpack the biggest myths surrounding the timeshare industry and explore why timeshares are uniquely positioned to meet the changing needs of today’s leisure traveler.
