Decius Valmorbida is President of Travel at Amadeus, a role held since August 2020 and as a member of the Amadeus Executive Committee. Under Decius’ leadership, Amadeus connects the global travel ecosystem - working with airlines, airports, travel sellers, rail companies, and corporations. Decius oversees the development of competitive solutions, the management and processing of payments across the travel value chain, and has a focus on innovation, data insights, and agility to make the experience of travel better for everyone, everywhere.

During more than 20 years at Amadeus, Decius has held a range of management positions. Starting in the LATAM region, Decius advanced to lead Global Marketing Distribution, and in 2017 took over the Travel Distribution business, joining the Executive Committee. Most notably, Decius implemented a more customer focused organization across the Travel unit and oversaw the deployment of the Amadeus Travel Platform to grow Amadeus’ distribution business.

Prior to Amadeus, Decius worked in IT management roles for over 10 years in companies including AT&T and Ernst & Young.

Decius has a degree in Computer Science from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, an MBA from Insper Institute in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and completed the General Management Program at Harvard Business School.

A Brazilian and Spanish citizen, Decius has lived and worked in four countries and speaks English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese.
