As Chief Executive Officer at citizenM, Klaas van Lookeren Campagne is responsible for running all facets of the company and furthering the company’s vision of bringing affordable luxury to the people.

After graduating with a Master in Tax Law from the University of Groningen, Klaas worked for Arthur Andersen, heading up the corporate finance real estate team specializing in the hospitality and leisure industry.
In 2004, he became Managing Director at KRC Capital, serving as board member of various KRC investments including Spaces, Oberoi International, the Coffee Company and Royal Mougins Golf Club.

In 2008, Klaas was part of the original founding team of citizenM. He served as chairman of the Investment Committee and Chief Investment Officer heading up the Development & Investment team, before being appointed CEO in 2019.
