Michael Zeisser is the Managing Partner of FMZ Ventures, a venture fund investing exclusively in experience economy companies such as GetYourGuide, Fever, BlaBlaCar, Atlas Obscura, Headspace, and Reddit.
Michael is also a strategic advisor to the International Olympic Committee. Until April 2018, he was Chairman, U.S. Investments for
Alibaba Group and led Alibaba’s strategic investments outside of Asia. Michael’s investments included Lyft, Magic Leap, Snap, Jet, 23andMe, Fanatics, and Zulily.

Prior to joining Alibaba in 2013, Michael worked for about a decade with John Malone at Liberty Media, where he acquired and oversaw companies in digital media, eCommerce and online gaming. Before Liberty, Michael was a partner at McKinsey & Co. in New York, where he co-founded and led McKinsey’s Internet Practice.

Michael has served on numerous public and private boards including IAC, Trip Advisor, Time Inc., Lending Club, Shutterfly, Lyft, Magic Leap, and QVC.

He is a graduate of the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, where he was a Procter & Gamble International Academic Scholar.
