Prof. Ahmet Bolat, born in Konya in 1959, graduated as an Industrial Engineer from Istanbul Technical University in 1981. He earned his M.Sc. from Stanford University and his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 1988 where he worked as research assistant and assistant professor and later did the same at King Saud University, before joining Turkish Airlines in 2005 as Senior VP of Investment Management. He later served as Chief Investment and Technology Officer, overseeing strategic growth and adding around 550 aircraft to the fleet. In 2022, he became the Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee of Turkish Airlines.
