Shannon Guihan is Chief Sustainability Officer for The Travel Corporation (TTC), a family of 40 travel brands operating worldwide including brands such as Contiki, Trafalgar, Red Carnation Hotels and Uniworld Boutique River Cruises.

As an advocate for pragmatic and transparent actions that lead to genuine impact in the pursuit of sustainability, Shannon leads the development and implementation of TTC’s sustainability strategy, including the groups journey to net zero and industry leading Carbon Fund, a financial mechanism designed solely to decarbonise the business. Shannon also oversees the TreadRight Foundation, TTC’s not-for-profit dedicated to supporting projects under the foundation’s three pillars of Planet, People and Wildlife.

Shannon holds an MSc in Tourism and Environmental Management, where she focused on integrating the principals of sustainability into marine based ecotourism. Her first and best job was as a sea kayaking guide in her home province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.
