Stuart Ruff-Lyon is RIMS’ Chief Events and Sales Officer. Stuart is passionate about RIMS and is the primary staff lead for RISKWORLD (formerly known as RIMS Annual Conference & Exhibition; Stuart led this rebrand effort in 2019). Stuart has worked in the hospitality and events industry for more than 20 years, with experience in planning international events and running citywide conventions.

Stuart is active in the events industry and recently presented at IAEE, PCMA, FICP, and ASAE. Stuart serves as an advisory board member for convention bureaus in Anaheim, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, the Georgia World Congress Center, Miami, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Omni Hotels.

In his personal time, Stuart enjoys world travel and experiencing new cultures. Stuart, his spouse, and their two cats reside in Westfield, Indiana, just north of Indianapolis.
