Sue Harmsworth is an inspirational and visionary leader who over the past 50 years has shaped the spa industry as we know it today. She founded the global brand ESPA in 1993 and sold it in 2017. Sue is responsible for the design of over 500 award winning spas in 65 countries and for creating ground breaking products, treatments and wellbeing programmes globally. Sue has an MBE from the Queen for services to the spa and beauty industry, is a recipient of the ISPA Visionary Award, American Spa Industry Icon, CEW’s achiever award.
Sue sits on the following Advisory Boards; Global Wellness Institute, The Red Sea Development Company and Trivananda and the Forbes Strategy Committee. She is currently advising owners and private equity on innovative new skincare concepts, aesthetics, wellness and medical destinations. She has set up the SATCC (Standards Authority for Touch in Cancer Care) to influence the spa and wellness industry’s training standards, so that those touched by cancer are able to source a qualified therapist for treatment.
