Tim Choate has been a leading innovator in the online world for over 30 years. He founded RedAwning in 2010 to bring hotel-style instant online reservations and guest benefits to the vacation rental industry. By forging trusted partnerships with the world’s leading OTA’s, and developing RedAwning’s own proprietary channels, he has built the largest consolidated vacation rental marketing and distribution platform in North America. The RedAwning platform enables better results and massive simplification for hosts and distribution partners alike, all while enhancing the guest booking and stay experience. RedAwning has served thousands of clients and over one million guests.
A successful serial entrepreneur, Tim previously pioneered digital software distribution with his Online Interactive Inc., (sold to Micro Warehouse in 1996); and pioneered online lead generation leveraging machine learning with FreeShop.com and Aptimus, Inc (1999 Nasdaq IPO, sold to Apollo Group 2007). He has also served on the Boards of other industry innovators, including Digital River, LapLink, Improve My Business, and RemitHome. Finally, he is active in the nonprofit world, including launching the acclaimed Berkeley Playhouse with his wife, and serving on the Boards of LandPaths and Friends of the Petaluma River.
