Vivek Bhogaraju has built his career at the intersection of travel, data & technology. His belief in travel – as a force for good, that both unifies & amplifies humanity – has guided his work & life choices. Vivek has had incredible opportunities to learn & lead teams in travel technology at various stages of their lifecycle: from early-stage businesses to scaleups to global public companies. Vivek is delighted to partner with Skift as an Advisory Partner to make the inaugural Data & AI Summit a reality.

Most recently as Chief Operating Officer at Lighthouse, Vivek was responsible for creating the growth operations team encompassing internal operations, data, insights & systems, M&A, strategic partnerships, and integration of the acquired businesses. At Expedia Group, Vivek incubated the revenue performance solutions team supporting the global lodging & vacation rental lines of business. His team leveraged Expedia Group data, technology, global reach, and machine learning capabilities to ultimately create the most widely adopted revenue management solutions for hotels & short-term rentals. Before Expedia Group, Vivek was responsible for the global partner ecosystem and driving growth at IDeaS Revenue Solutions. Vivek is grateful to start his hospitality career with Oberoi Hotels & Resorts with management roles in rooms and food & beverage operations.

Vivek has a master’s of management degree in hospitality from The School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University, and a bachelor’s degree from the Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration. In addition, he has completed programs in advanced design thinking from IDEO, strategic alliances at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and strategic change & growth at the Columbia Business School.

Vivek has collaborated with multicultural teams globally having lived in India, the United States & Switzerland. He currently resides in Geneva, Switzerland.
