Maher’s role as Executive Vice President for Travel Unit and Managing Director for Europe Middle East & Africa (EMEA) involves overseeing the execution of Amadeus’ strategic vision and managing all business activities with Amadeus’ customers in the region. This also includes leading Amadeus’ relationships with key industry stakeholders in EMEA.

Under his leadership, the Amadeus EMEA team achieved some of its best results in terms of business growth and customer centricity. Leveraging over 20 years of aviation industry experience, Maher’s leadership is seen across business operations, consulting, sales, client management and product development.

His current professional goal is to support and enable Amadeus customers in the region to pursue growth, enhance the customer experience, and accelerate digital transformation not only through technology but through a close collaboration and partnership.  Maher is very passionate about his team; a great group of diverse people which keep him motivated and challenged on a daily basis.

Prior to joining Amadeus, Maher was leading Sabre’ airline commercial activities in the Middle East and Africa, where he held a variety of senior management and business development roles both in the UAE and in France.

Maher holds a Master of Science, Industrial Engineering – Logistics and Transportation at CentraleSupélec, a leading French engineering school. Maher is based in Dubai.
